Greetings!
My research agenda focuses on local government, public service delivery, public management, budgeting and finance & inter-governmental relations.
In this work, I embrace a community-engaged/extension emphasis to contribute not only to academic research and theory but, perhaps more importantly, to further inform the everyday activities of the countless dedicated practitioners and public servants in local government.
Please feel free to get in touch!
I received my doctorate from Cornell University in August 2024 where I studied under the direction of Dr. Mildred E. Warner. My dissertation work was done in collaboration with and further advised by both Dr. Suzanne Mettler (Government) & Dr. Laura Underkuffler (Law) who served as minor members on my dissertation committee. In 2018, I obtained my master’s degree in city & regional planning, also from Cornell, where I worked closely with all the practitioner local gov. advocacy organization in New York State. Prior to my time in graduate school , I studied political science, economics, and history at Illinois Wesleyan University where my mentor was the then Mayor for the City of Bloomington, IL, Dr. Tari Renner.
